BlackRock’s iShares spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) is back on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation website after it disappeared for a few hours on Tuesday.

On Monday, the price of bitcoin rallied after Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas’ [post](https://www.cryptoflash.report/articles/nasdaq-trade-clearing-firm-lists-blackrocks-spot-bitcoin-etf) on X went viral. It jumped over $35,000, but dipped after the ETF listing disappeared from the DTCC site.

According to the DTCC, the ETF’s appearance on the site should not be seen as an indicator that it is about to get approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission. 

A spokesperson said, “It is standard practice for the DTC to add securities to the NSCC security eligibility in preparation for the launch of a new ETF to the market.”

The price of bitcoin surged after news of the ETF listing spread, but dropped when it vanished.
