### Over the weekend, some worries over FTT (the token of FTX - the centralized exchange of Sam Bankman-Fried, started to spread on twitter. Here’s what we know so far.



A large number of FTT tokens was moved yesterday and was causing a buzz on twitter, specially since shortly after the move, the FTT token started falling in value.

Then, rumors spread of Binance dumping FTT. Not long after the buzz started, CZ clarified what was going on in a twitter thread. He explained that they did move FTT and confirmed that they were liquidating their entire position but, were doing so over a period of a few months.

Another twitter user seems to be hinting that Binance should be selling the FTT tokens over the counter.

The question though is, does Alameda Research have enough liquidity to buy all of Binance’s tokens? This all sounds like FUD and supposition. But, is it? 

Just a few days ago coindesk.com published an [article]( https://www.coindesk.com/business/2022/11/02/divisions-in-sam-bankman-frieds-crypto-empire-blur-on-his-trading-titan-alamedas-balance-sheet/) raising concerns about Alameda Research’s balance sheet. (Alamada Research is one of two parts of Sam Bankman-Fried’s crypto empire). 

So, perhaps it’s not too surprising that twitter is also abuzz with people wondering if Alameda Research is bankrupt. 

One of the people asking is crypto influencer CarlTheMoon:

Lookonchain pointed out that: 
1. The amount of tokens that Binance appears to be liquidating is around 7% of the circulating supply. 
2. FTT tokens are concentrated in the hands of whales. 
3. FTX and Alameda have about USD300M worth of stable coins (not enough to buy what Binance is selling).
4. FTT can crash if whales sell.
