### Sam Bankman-Fried reportedly tried to get Taylor Swift to endorse FTX

According to reports, Sam Bankman-Fried tried to pursue a partnership with Taylor Swift. The Financial Times (FT) reports that negotiations were in their final stages and were worth around $100 million. However, Swift reportedly never considered taking the deal.



According to [FT](https://www.ft.com/content/2b0601e2-d371-404d-8531-227f11d4a83f), a source said “Taylor would not, and did not, agree to an endorsement deal. The discussion was around a potential tour sponsorship that did not happen.”



A former employee described Bankman-Fried as “a fan of Tay Tay” and tried to partner with Swift, despite the objections of other FTX executives over the high price of her fees. They also raised whether Swift was the right partner considering the demographics of its customers.



Some of the activities that were discussed were a ticketing deal around non-fungible tokens and a “light degree of endorsement” on social media. 



Before its collapse, FTX was known for partnering with celebrities, like NFL player Tom Brady, tennis player Naomi Osaka, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, and NBA star Steph Curry. 



These celebrities are now facing lawsuits over the collapse of FTX for their roles in marketing the crypto exchange.
