### The recent rally in Bitcoin and Altcoins gives reason to believe that the bear market may be over. So what’s next? 


Is the bull run beginning? It’s anybody’s guess. But, based on past data, we believe that we have around a year (or more) to go before we see any sustained, exponential run up in bitcoin and crypto prices. 

We believe that there is a high probability that 2023 will be a great year for accumulation of bitcoin (and, possibly other crypto).

This is purely speculative, but supposing that the four year cycle is followed, 2023 is a year after the last bear market in much the same way that 2019 was a year after the bear market of 2018. 

So, perhaps the bitcoin price in 2023 will behave similar to how it behaved in 2019. If it does so, then we are looking at one of the best times for accumulating bitcoin. 

Since this is all very speculative, we are still in favor of a sustainable cost-averaging strategy. Considering past data, 2023 may be a good time to increase the budget for regular cost averaging. In terms of risk management, it also looks like a much better time to be buying bitcoin as the downward trend looks like it has changed. 

One major indicator of a potential change in the trend is that the BTC price has moved above the 200 day moving average for the first time since December 2021.

The technical move isn’t certain though if we consider the 200 day exponential moving average.

Thus, it really is still uncertain whether the bear market is truly over but there is a good chance it is!
