### After a multi-year process, Brazil has enacted a law allowing bitcoin and digital assets to be used as payment. To become final, the law requires the President's signature. 

The law, first proposed in 2015, sets a framework for the use of digital assets as payment methods. While the law does not make bitcoin legal tender, it opens the door for banks and financial institutions to use digital assets as representations of value. For end users, this means a wider array of payment options will soon be accessible, with digital assets assisting in transaction fulfillment.
