Dogecoin developers announced on X that there are plans to send a physical Dogecoin token to the moon. It will be part of a space payload mission by Astrobotic for December.

The mission, named Peregrine Mission One, will carry 21 payloads or cargo from different entities. Aside from the Dogecoin token, it will also bring a physical bitcoin and a copy of the Genesis Block, the first bitcoin block mined. 

In 2022, there was a plan for a SpaceX mission to the moon to be fully funded by DOGE tokens. Commissioned by Geometric Energy Corp., the mission was postponed and rescheduled for January 2024.

There could be a Dogecoin token in the moon by December.
