### Stably, a prominent Stablecoin-as-a-Service (SCaaS) and fiat on/off-ramp infrastructure provider, hopes to make waves in the emerging Bitcoin Ordinals market with the launch of its USD-backed stablecoin, Stably USD. In a recent interview, Stably CEO and co-founder Kory Hoang shed light on the company's innovative approach.

Stably USD aims to enhance the security and flexibility of the BRC-20 standard while facilitating the seamless migration of BRC20 assets to the newly introduced ORC-20 standard. Hoang explained that the ORC20 standard, built on Bitcoin Ordinals and the BRC-20 framework, seeks to improve upon its predecessor by leveraging the security features of Bitcoin ordinals.

In January 2023, following the release of the highly anticipated Taproot upgrade, Stably established the USD stablecoin as a BRC-20 token. This implementation relies on ordinal inscriptions, which store information on Bitcoin's smallest unit, the Satoshi.

Stably assures users that all #USD tokens are backed by US dollars held in a collateral account, providing additional security for KYC/AML-verified token holders. The stablecoin's natively-issued BRC20 format ensures compatibility with existing Bitcoin infrastructure.

While Stably's initiative has garnered attention and support from many within the crypto community, some Bitcoin Maximalists have expressed skepticism regarding the integration of BRC-20 and ORC-20 tokens into the Bitcoin network. Concerns revolve around how miners will treat these new additions and the potential implications for network dynamics.
