Bitcoin crossed the $45,000 mark for the first time since April 2022. It rose significantly from a price of $42,000 on Jan. 1 to trade at $45,783 on Jan. 2 as of 4:30 PM Hong Kong time.

Speculation has intensified regarding the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) decision on the 14 outstanding applications for a spot Bitcoin ETF product. According to reports, the SEC may start informing ETF applicants of their approval as early as Tuesday. 

Other tokens are also experiencing an uptrend. Ethereum and Solana are up by 6.24% and 12.26%, respectively, in the past 24 hours.


It reached this mark for the first time in two years.
