### Binance has made the decision to cancel its registration with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom, citing ongoing regulatory scrutiny. The move comes as Binance continues to face pushback from regulators around the world, prompting the exchange to withdraw from major markets.

Binance's UK-based subsidiary, Binance Markets Limited (BML), officially canceled its registration with the FCA, effectively losing authorization to provide services in the UK. However, the cancellation does not have an immediate operational impact, as Binance had never conducted business in the country, according to a regional manager at the exchange.



Ilir Laro, Binance's UK and Europe sub-regional manager, emphasized that, since its acquisition in 2020, BML has lain dormant and not conducted any regulated commercial activity in the UK. Laro emphasized that Binance still maintains regulated entities in other European countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Sweden.



The cancellation follows previous regulatory issues in the country. In 2021, the FCA ordered Binance to cease all regulated activities in the UK. 



This also comes in the wake of ongoing legal challenges faced by Binance in the United States, with civil lawsuits filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).



While Binance's withdrawal from the UK market is not expected to significantly impact its operations, it reflects the exchange's strategy to navigate regulatory challenges and focus on compliance in various jurisdictions.
