### CoinGecko released its Q2 Crypto Industry Report. Here are the highlights.



1. **BTC Performance in Q2 2023:**
   - BTC's value increased from $28,517 to $30,481 in Q2, showcasing resilience amidst market fluctuations. The announcement of BlackRock's ETF filing was a significant catalyst, pushing BTC to its yearly high.

2. **Stablecoin Market Dynamics:**
   - The overall market cap of the top 15 stablecoins saw a decline, with USDC and BUSD experiencing the most significant drops. In contrast, Tether (USDT) solidified its position, and True USD (TUSD) witnessed substantial growth, buoyed by Binance's support.

3. **ETH Staking Trends:**
   - The amount of staked ETH saw a significant rise, reaching 23.6 million by the end of Q2. Lido maintained its position as the primary staking provider, while both Kraken and Coinbase experienced a dip in their staking dominance.

4. **NFT Market Insights:**
   - The overall NFT market saw a decline in trading volume, but Ethereum remained the preferred platform for most traders. However, Bitcoin Ordinals emerged as a notable contender, capturing a significant portion of the trading volume in May.

5. **Centralized Exchange (CEX) Activity:**
   - Trading volumes on centralized exchanges witnessed a downturn in Q2, with Binance losing some of its market dominance. New entrants, Bybit and Bitget, made their way into the top 10, pushing out Huobi and crypto.com.

6. **Decentralized Exchange (DEX) Overview:**
   - DEXs also experienced a drop in trading volumes, but the decline was less pronounced compared to CEXs. Uniswap continued to be the dominant player in the DEX space, while Curve, despite its new stablecoin release, couldn't capitalize on increased trading volumes.
