### Beijing, the capital city of China, has taken a significant stride towards embracing the future of the internet by publishing a white paper aimed at fostering innovation and development in the Web3 industry. The paper, titled "Web3 Innovation and Development White Paper (2023)," asserts that web3 technology is an "inevitable trend for future Internet industry development," according to a report in the local news site The Paper.

Authored by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, also known as the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, the white paper outlines Beijing's commitment to bolstering the Web3 industry by providing increased official support and expediting technological advancements. The release of this white paper took place during the Zhongguancun Forum, showcasing Beijing's determination to lead the way in the Web3 revolution.



The timing of this announcement has drawn attention, with Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao, noting its significance as Hong Kong's crypto regulations are set to go into effect on June 1st.
