### Bernstein, a prominent global wealth management group released a report stating that Binance is “solvent, liquid and stable and this evident in the exchange’s more than $55 billion in verifiable cold wallet addresses.”

After the series of collapses in crypto institutions in 2023 Celsuis, Voyager and 3AC, there was a sense of fear that if FTX can collapse then so can Binance. 

However, while the fear is understandable and, of course, anything is possible, there really was no evidence that Binance was troubled financially. Some criticisms of Binance were circulated online and in Twitter Spaces. 

Binance is allegedly shady because there is no headquarters, and there is no declaration of liabilities. Others pointed out that Binance’s supposed ‘audit’ is not really an ‘audit’ at all; and, the accounting group, Mazar, quickly yanked the Binance reports they had initially published. 

Bernstein appears unconvinced by the criticisms and suspicions against Binance’s sustainability. The report further stated that the crypto exchange had passed the test of withdrawals when $6B of customer funds were withdrawn on Dec. 13. 

The report also explained that “Binance’s undisputed market leadership has not been an accident - it has a long history of doing right by the customer.” 

Bernstein noted that Binance should move away from its off-shore holding company structure and take “progressive steps moving towards an on-shore structure”.
