### U.S. national security investigators are currently examining whether leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance may have violated the law by permitting Russian users to participate on its platform. This development comes as Binance finds itself at the center of several ongoing investigations in the United States, including a comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML) probe conducted by regulatory bodies and government agencies.

The latest blow to Binance comes in the form of a probe launched by the U.S. Justice Department, marking another high-profile investigation following an IRS inquiry in 2021. The focus of this particular investigation is centered on the exchange's alleged facilitation of Russian user access, raising concerns about potential violations of U.S. sanctions against Russia.



In addition to the investigation being conducted by the Justice Department, the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has also initiated legal action against Binance. The CFTC claims that the exchange unlawfully promoted cryptocurrency derivatives products in the United States without registering them beforehand, highlighting regulatory non-compliance.



Throughout these challenging times, Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao, has urged caution against falling for fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD). CZ has emphasized that the company continues to operate diligently, focusing on addressing regulatory concerns while maintaining a low-profile public stance.
