### BTG Pactual, the largest Latin American investment bank, has announced the launch of its first stablecoin, BTG Dol, on Polygon. The new crypto asset is pegged to the US dollar at a 1 to 1 parity, which enables investors to interact more efficiently between the traditional monetary system and the new digital economy.

BTG Pactual's Head of Digital Assets, André Portilho, stated that the company aims to innovate in the use of financial technology to benefit its clients.



The bank has assured investors that the stablecoin's backing is guaranteed and managed by BTG Pactual, which also provides a comprehensive security framework, including due diligence, money laundering prevention, and compliance procedures.


The launch of its stablecoin through Polygon marks an important milestone for the adoption of stablecoins in Latin America. It is expected to increase the adoption of cryptocurrencies in Latin America, where the use of digital assets is gaining momentum. 

Moreover, it is anticipated to pave the way for more financial institutions to venture into the stablecoin market, providing a more efficient and secure way to invest in digital assets.
