### Coinbase, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has secured a license to operate its digital assets business in Bermuda. The announcement comes as part of Coinbase's expansion plans, aimed at increasing its global footprint. In addition, the company is reportedly in talks with the Abu Dhabi Global Market regarding a similar license.

The Bermuda Monetary Authority granted Coinbase permission to run a digital asset firm in the country, allowing the exchange to conduct its operations under a regulated framework. This move is expected to provide Coinbase with a greater level of security and legitimacy in the digital asset space, as well as access to new markets.



The news comes as the CEO of Coinbase, Brian Armstrong, warns that the company may be forced to leave the United States if the country fails to create regulatory clarity for the cryptocurrency industry.
