### In yet another alarming incident highlighting the vulnerability of cryptocurrency holders, Atomic Wallet has recently become the target of a major hack, resulting in losses exceeding $35 million.

On June 3rd, Atomic Wallet took to Twitter to address the reports pouring in regarding hacked wallets. Acknowledging the issue, the company began investigating the matter promptly. Notably, the affected users represent less than 1% of the platform's monthly active users, as confirmed by Atomic Wallet.



As a decentralized wallet, Atomic Wallet does not serve as a custodian for user funds. Consequently, the losses incurred in this incident are not covered under the platform's Terms of Service. This unfortunate reality places the onus on individual users to safeguard their investments.



To better understand the extent and nature of the hack, Atomic Wallet has initiated a survey for the victims. The survey requests information such as operating system details, software download sources, recent actions preceding the loss, and backup phrase storage locations. The company aims to gain insights into the incident By gathering these data.



For those who have an Atomic Wallet and have not yet experienced any fund depletion, immediate action is strongly advised. Experts recommend transferring all funds to a centralized exchange like Binance or Kraken, or to a hardware wallet for enhanced security.



The Atomic Wallet hack serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with the digital realm and the need for robust security measures. As cryptocurrency continues to gain traction, individuals must remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect their valuable assets from malicious actors.
