### In another turn of events, FTX revised its esstimate of creditors from 100,000 creditors to 1,000,000 creditors.

In a recent bankruptcy filing, FTX estimates that it has more than 1 million individual creditors. CNBC [reported](https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/15/ftx-says-could-have-over-1-million-creditors-in-new-bankruptcy-filing.html) that “Last week when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, FTX indicated that it had more than 100,000 creditors. But in an updated filing Tuesday, lawyers for the company said, 'In fact there could be more than one million creditors in these Chapter 11 cases' 

According to [The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/nov/15/ftx-cryptocurrency-sam-bankman-fried): “Typically, the Delaware bankruptcy court requires the company to file a list of 20 largest unsecured debtors but FTX has requested permission to do things differently: because it has more than 100 companies filing for bankruptcy as one block.” 

FTX is the latest and largest of several large, high profile crypto organizations to fall. Earlier this year crypto lending companies Celsius and Voyager had become bankrupt and were in the process of being bailed out by FTX. 

Other high profile collapses include crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital, and the Luna ecosystem including an algorithmic stable coin called UST. Rumors are swirling that FTX may have directly played a part in causing the collapse of the above mentioned crypto organizations.
