### First Digital, a prominent Hong Kong-based qualified custodian and registered trust firm, has recently made an exciting announcement that is set to revolutionize the digital asset landscape. The company is launching its very own stablecoin, aptly named First Digital USD (FDUSD), which is pegged to the US dollar.

What sets FDUSD apart is its stringent backing by either one US dollar or an equivalent asset held in Asian financial institutions that are subject to rigorous regulatory oversight. This ensures stability and transparency, instilling confidence in users and investors alike.



To enhance accessibility and utility, FDUSD is initially compatible with Ethereum and BNB Chain. However, First Digital also plans to expand its availability by extending support to additional blockchains in the near future. This move aims to cater to a broader range of users and bolster the coin's liquidity.



As a registered trust corporation, First Digital Trust Limited prioritizes the security and integrity of its offerings. All FDUSD reserves will be held in segregated accounts, completely separate from the company's other assets. This setup ensures that the funds remain safeguarded and readily available whenever needed.



The launch of the stablecoin aligns with the introduction of new regulations governing trading platforms for virtual assets in Hong Kong.
