### According to a report that was published in a local news site on June 2nd, Mercado Bitcoin, the most prominent cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil, has recently been granted a payment provider license by the central bank of the country. This development paves the way for Mercado Bitcoin to introduce its financial technology product, MB Pay, to the Brazilian market.

The official recognition by the Central Bank is regarded as an important milestone for both 2TM, the firm that Mercado Bitcoin is a subsidiary of, and Mercado Bitcoin itself. Roberto Dagnoni, CEO of 2TM, emphasized the importance of this authorization, stating, "It allows us to continue expanding our business and providing a better service to our customers."



MB Pay, the payment organization associated with Mercado Bitcoin, offers customers the ability to engage in various financial operations using the crypto assets held on the exchange. These operations include making digital fixed-income investments, staking cryptocurrencies, and soon, withdrawing cryptocurrency through a debit card.



As one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Brazil, Mercado Bitcoin has played a pivotal role in meeting the growing demand for digital solutions in the country. Brazil's population of approximately 214 million people has attracted several cryptocurrency companies, including Crypto.com, Binance, and Bitso, which are already licensed payment providers in the country.



The expansion of operations by licensed payment providers further demonstrates the increasing interest and opportunities in the Brazilian cryptocurrency market. With the approval from the central bank, Mercado Bitcoin is well-positioned to continue its growth and contribute to the ongoing adoption of cryptocurrencies in Brazil's financial landscape.
