### The Shiba Inu community is buzzing after rumors emerged that Shiba Inu's latest blockchain project, Shibarium, used the same Chain ID as another existing blockchain. The rumors began swirling after technical details of Shibarium's Chain ID, RPC nodes, block explorer, faucet, and bridge were made public following the release of the beta version a few days ago.

A prominent member of the Shiba Inu Discord community has voiced worry about Shibarium, stating that using a Chain ID that already exists is simply incompetent. The member added that if the ID already exists, the chain [Shibarium] would not work properly, and everyone trying to interact with the chain would instead interact with the other chain, in this case, Rinia.

However, other well-known members of the community were quick to clarify things. They explained that Chain IDs are not unique identifiers of a blockchain, and it is not uncommon for different blockchains to use the same ID. They also pointed out that there are other ways to differentiate between different chains.



Despite the clarification, some members of the community remain concerned about Shibarium's use of a Chain ID that is identical to Rinia's. They worry that this could cause confusion and technical issues, which could ultimately harm the reputation of Shiba Inu.



Shiba Inu's blockchain initiatives have been questioned previously. Despite prior accusations of plagiarism, Shiba Inu has attracted a significant and dedicated following, with numerous supporters anticipating that it will soon establish itself as the industry benchmark.



So, is this a red flag for Shiba Inu's Shibarium, or is it just a nothingburger? The answer is not clear-cut. While some may see this as a minor issue that can be easily resolved, others may view it as a sign of incompetence and lack of attention to detail. Ultimately, only time will tell whether Shibarium will live up to the hype and become a successful blockchain project.
