Celebrities Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and Gisele Bundchen are under investigation by a Texas regulator for promoting FTX. 



In an interview with Bloomberg News, Joe Rotunda, the director of enforcement at the Texas State Securities Board, said that the investigation is focused on the payments they received for endorsing FTX US, what disclosures were issued, and how accessible those disclosures are to retail investors.



According to Rotunda, “we are taking a close look at them.”



FTX’s troubles continue to haunt Brady, Curry, and Bundchen. Last week, they were named in a class action lawsuit filed in Florida. The central issue of the case is whether FTX used celebrities to target “unsophisticated investors.” 



The suit refers to FTX as a “Ponzi scheme” and accused it of manipulating its funds to “attempt to maintain the appearance of liquidity.”



Curry first signed up with FTX in September 2021, his first foray into the crypto industry. His foundation, Eat.Learn.Play, is also a partner of FTX in some charitable work. 



Brady and Bundchen, on the other hand, have an equity stake in FTX. They have also appeared in some FTX advertisements.
