### PayPal-owned mobile payment network Venmo is making a major move in the cryptocurrency world. Customers will be able to send cryptocurrencies to other Venmo users, PayPal accounts, and third-party wallets and exchanges beginning in May. 


The addition of cryptocurrency to the Venmo app makes it even easier for users to send and receive money with just a few taps. To send bitcoin, customers can go to their account, view their assets, tap the “Transfer” arrows, and select the appropriate option. To receive Bitcoin, users can tap “Receive” to see a QR code representation of their personal crypto address, which can then be shared with others.



Venmo’s move into crypto is a big step for the mobile payment network and a testament to the growing popularity of cryptocurrency. In April 2021, Venmo added crypto trading features, but today is the first time users will be able to trade and receive Bitcoin within the app.



Venmo’s new crypto features are a game-changer for users of the app and a clear indication of the increasing acceptance of cryptocurrency. By allowing users to easily send and receive money in a secure and convenient way, Venmo is helping to make cryptocurrency more accessible to the public.
