### The price movement of ADA does not inspire confidence in the short-term. ADA has been dropping and can continue dropping, but we believe the price action doesn’t reflect the potential. Here’s why.

There are so many reasons to believe in ADA as a major contender for future blockchain activity. So while the price is low, we actually think of this time as a discount or ‘sale’ season. The bull market will come back and for those that didn’t take the opportunity to buy at the present prices, there will be massive regret. 

These are five (among so many) reasons why we think ADA will come out of the bear market stronger than most other altcoins: 

1. ADA development is [continuing](https://twitter.com/cardanians_io/status/1588059198461558784?s=61&t=uxhcjRCqy-BuDRYWlb2UKA) at the hands of about 600 IOG employees

600 employees is a huge team. While ETH has over 4,000 developers, these are not necessarily employees so it’s hard to compare just on the numbers. What has our attention is that IOG’s headcount is a headcount of employees. 

2. ADA has an impressive partnership with [Stanford University](https://dailyhodl.com/2022/09/09/cardano-adadeveloper-iog-partners-with-stanford-university-to-launch-blockchain-research-hub/):  

“Stanford University could soon come up with cutting-edge blockchain innovation through a new $4.5 million partnership with Cardano (ADA) developer Input Output Global (IOG).“ 

3. IOG just welcomed an impressive new [talent](https://www.bitcoininsider.org/article/192150/academic-who-led-mina-protocol-development-joins-cardano-builder-iog-head-applied): 

“Input Output Global, Inc. (IOG), the software research & development company behind world-leading sustainable blockchain platform Cardano, has appointed Dr Vanishree Rao as its Head of Applied Cryptography. 

Dr Rao is a renowned academic who helped build the Mina Protocol, a privacy focused blockchain based on Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge (zkSNARKs), while she was Lead Cryptographer at O(1) Labs. She has also held high-level cryptography roles at companies including the Intertrust Technologies Corporation, and was a Research Scientist at Xerox PARC, where innovations including the Ethernet and laser printing have been developed, working on various government-funded and industry-need driven projects.” 

One thing notable is that someone like Dr. Rao could have chosen to work in any chain but she chose Cardano! 

4. New things keep coming. One of which is that Ledger [support](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020095874-Cardano-ADA-?docs=true) for Cardano is being rolled out! 

5. The controversial YouTuber Bitboy pointed out that ETH is ‘messing up’ and ADA will beat it eventually (and will compete with ETH within the next [six to ten years](https://youtu.be/LO5XrVbt-fc). We have mixed feelings about Bitboy, but putting those aside, he has been right many times and works very hard to keep updated in crypto. We respect that and agree with him on his take on ADA. 

While the ADA development continues, and the quality of the Cardano blockchain continues to outshine the competition, we know that the development is taking a long time. So, it’s not surprising that the price remains rather uninspiring. 

We, at CryptoFlash see this as a prolonged and lingering buying opportunity. It’s only a matter of time until ADA is as big as or bigger than ETH. When that happens, there’ll be no turning back. The opportunity to get in is here, but be warned, there is some nasty volatility ahead. The chart is still pointing down, but honestly, we don’t care. When ADA hits USD100, we really couldn’t be bothered about whether we bought ADA at .40 or at .20 (it might go that low, or even lower).
