### XRP is simply too big for the SEC to kill. Since the time the lawsuit was filed, crypto has changed so much.

Even with the pending SEC case, Ripple has not stopped developing the XRP ledger. For instance, NFTS are now available on the NFT ledger, as [announced]( (https://xrpl.org/blog/2022/non-fungible-tokens-are-nowavailable.html)) by the XRPL org. 

There is also talk of coming EVM [compatibility](https://decrypt.co/112167/ripples-xrp-ledger-sidechainethereum). The entire crypto space has also changed incredibly over the past few years. Do you remember how bitcoin was treated as a joke by government officials? Or how ‘serious’ businessmen said bitcoin wasn’t a real thing? 

Just look back a few years and it will be nearly impossible to imagine that the US President would order the entire federal government to study crypto - which happened early this year and reported by CNBC in this [article](https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/09/biden-orders-cryptocurrency-study-as-traders-await-new-regulations-legislation.html). 

It would be almost also nearly impossible to imagine that big banks like JP Morgan would offer not just bitcoin but a number of digital asset options for its [customers](https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/05/bitcoin-jpmorgan-led-by-jamiedimon-quietly-unveils-access-to-a-half-dozen-crypto-funds.html). With this changing landscape, and with crypto becoming more and more a part of people’s investment portfolios, it becomes less and less of a possibility that the SEC would just up and kill a huge digital asset like XRP. In other words, if the crypto trend continues, time is on the side of XRP. So, for the XRP community, the same is true. Time is on your side. 

In fact, the strong support of the XRP community as well as the continuing development of XRP is incredibly bullish for the XRP token. 

One would argue that the present period is an ‘enhanced’ accumulation period: XRP price is lower than it should be because of the SEC case. This makes us believe that a cost-averaging approach to accumulating XRP is something that will pay off in spades. All one will need is a good amount of patience and consistency to wait out the SEC ‘storm’ as well as the general crypto winter.
